TerrainDx is operated by PJAMA IP, LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a New Jersey limited liability company. This Privacy Policy applies to all TerrainDx services, including terraindx.co, patient.terraindx.co (patient interface), clinician.terraindx.co (clinician interface), map.patient.terraindx.co and map.clinician.terraindx.co (case viewers), paulnathanfostermd.com (founder site), and our legacy domains hubblediagnosis.org and neighborhooddx.org during their sunset period (collectively, the "Services").

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Health information: Symptom descriptions, medical history, and other health-related information you share through conversations with TerrainDx Chat (your AI guide) or through text input. This is used solely to generate your health map.
• Account information: If you create an account — email address, display name, and password.
• Communication: Messages you send to us via email or the contact form.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, and interactions with your health map.
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size.
• Log data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.

Information we do NOT collect:

• We do not collect your real name, date of birth, Social Security number, insurance information, or other personally identifiable health records unless you voluntarily include them in your symptom description.
• We do not access your medical records, EHR data, or pharmacy information.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Services: Generate your health map, power conversations with TerrainDx Chat, assign action lanes, and compute diagnostic landscapes.
• To improve the Services: Analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and improve the accuracy and usefulness of our tools. Health information used for improvement is aggregated and de-identified.
• To communicate with you: Respond to your inquiries, send service-related notifications, and (with your consent) share updates about TerrainDx.
• To share with your physician: Only when you explicitly choose to share your map. Your physician sees the map, the diagnostic landscape, and the clinical summary — but only through a link you generate and control.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share information in these limited circumstances:

• With your physician: Only when you explicitly share your map link. You control this entirely.
• Service providers: We use third-party services to host our infrastructure (DigitalOcean), process payments (if applicable), and provide AI capabilities (Anthropic). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect your information.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
• Aggregate/de-identified data: We may share aggregate, de-identified data for research or statistical purposes. This data cannot be used to identify you.

5. AI Processing

Your health information is processed by AI models (currently provided by Anthropic) to generate your diagnostic landscape. This processing occurs in real time when you use the Services. We do not use your individual health information to train AI models. Your conversations with TerrainDx Chat are processed to generate responses but are not used to improve third-party AI systems.

6. Data Retention

We retain your health map and associated data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us through our contact form. Upon deletion request, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, though de-identified aggregate data may be retained for research and improvement purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing

The Services are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 without parental or guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. HIPAA Notice

TerrainDx is currently designed as a consumer health information tool, not as a HIPAA-covered entity. The health information you share is provided voluntarily and is not part of a medical record. If our relationship with healthcare providers evolves to include HIPAA-covered activities, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notices and protections.

11. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may use analytics tools to understand how the Services are used. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
